The Double Burner Griddle works on any heat source and performs best on gas, where heat spreads quickly and evenly. Electric and glass-top burners may need a bit more time to warm through. We stand behind the quality of our cast iron and carbon steel cookware. If your cookware is defective, we’ll replace it. If your cookware fails you after honest and normal use, we’ll repair or replace it.

Can you heat the burners to two separate settings, or do they have to be the same?

Yes, you can set the burners to two separate heat levels. However, for best results, we recommend starting by preheating the griddle by setting both burners to medium heat for approximately 10 minutes. Once the griddle has reached a consistent temperature (you can conduct a sizzle test with a little bit of oil or water), you can adjust the burners as needed based on what you are cooking.

How to minimize hot spots on such a big piece of cookware (heat up time)?

To minimize hot spots when cooking with the griddle, it’s important to allow the surface to fully heat up. Cast iron is slower to heat but will reach a consistent temperature when given time. Start by setting both burners to medium heat and let the griddle preheat for approximately 10 minutes. This will allow the heat to spread consistently across the cooking surface. Once preheated, you can adjust each burner individually based on what you are cooking.

What is the little channel around the griddle for?

The small channel or moat around the perimeter of the griddle is designed to collect excess grease, oil, or food juices. This helps provide a cleaner surface while cooking.

Best griddle ever!

I've been eyeing this griddle for almost a year. I truly enjoy everything about it. It's a nice fit for my two burners. I like the deeper grease catcher, especially when you're cooking for a larger family event. When you are cooking eggs, or something with liquid, you see how level the griddle is, because the liquid doesn't start pooling to one side, more than the others. The griddle cooks nice and evenly, no matter where you place the food. I normally don't like anything left on my stove, but this griddle is such a nice piece to display.

Perfect for a large range

We have a small bistro with a four-burner gas range. Many griddles do not fit the double burners, but this one does and heats evenly. Perfect for pancakes or French toast! We like it as much as the farmhouse skillet.
